David Guetta Collabs Ranked

Updated: Mar 6, 2019

David Guetta is currently one of the most well-known and loved music producers, DJs, and songwriters worldwide. This French mastermind behind classic hits like the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling,” and Usher’s “Without You,” is now 11th in the world for most monthly listeners on Spotify. The producer got his start in the late 80’s, but being a perfectionist, did not release anything until he had complete comfortability and confidence in his work in 2001. Nine years later, Guetta was nominated for five Grammy Awards, which got the ball rolling for a stream of hits to come. Here are a few of our favorites.

5. Dangerous

Once Sam Martin became exposed for writing Maroon 5’s hit “Daylight,” it wasn’t long before other mainstream artists like T.I., Jason Derulo, and, of course, David Guetta decided they needed a bit of Martin in their life. This 2014 collaboration could be part of the Stranger Things soundtrack with the eerie sound of droning synths. Or it could work as the backing to a racing video…

4. Hey Mama

What’s the result when you get a lyrical genius, rap goddess, and smash hit beat creators to work together for a song? Best case, you get “Hey Mama.” This pump up masterpiece is the result of Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha, Afrojack, and David Guetta all bringing their A-game to create a hit. This is the song you listen to in your car with all of the windows down and the volume as high up as it can go without blowing out your speakers. And even if you do blow out your speakers, we think it’s pretty worth it.

3. Titanium

We PRAISE the release of Titanium and it will forever be close to our hearts because it’s what gave Sia the spotlight she needed to take off in her musical career as a vocalist. The song was originally supposed to feature Mary J. Blige, however, Guetta went on to sneakily release Sia’s version instead. Now don’t get us wrong, we love Mary J. Blige, but on this Guetta collab we only have ears for Sia.

2. Like I Do

This might prove that when David Guetta likes working with someone, he’ll create hit after hit intending to collaborate with that artist specifically. This is not the first time David Guetta and Martin Garrix have worked together. Just last year the two dropped “So Far Away,” a ballad that made it to number 11 on Hot Dance/Electronic Charts. Opposed to “So Far Away,” “Like I Do” is the dancy hit we hoped these partners would create. It’s one of those songs you’ll have in your head all day, listen to on repeat, jam to it in the club, and still not be sick of it when you put it on while relaxing in bed that same night.

1. Flames

David Guetta and Sia have over a billion streams and a billion YouTube views on their singles, Titanium, She Wolf, and Bang My Head combined. Obviously Guetta and Sia are doing something right, and we don’t want to skip out on any tracks with these twos’ names on them.

According to Guetta, it takes a lot to decide who he wants to work with for every song he puts out. “It depends on the music, the key, the range, the type of emotion, the type of lyrics…” listed Guetta. With so much thought put into each collaboration project, we’re pretty sure we’ll never be disappointed in the product that comes from this established electronic producer.
