Bebe Rexha Debut Album Release

Updated: Mar 6, 2019

Chart topping singer/songwriter Bebe Rexha will release her highly anticipated debut album, “Expectations,” on June 22. Bebe co-wrote and co-produced every song on the album.

Bebe’s current smash, “Meant To Be,” feat. Florida Georgia Line, peaked at number one on the Australian iTunes chart and is the most played track on Australian radio in 2018 so far. It has also held the number one spot on the Billboard Hot Country Chart for 18 consecutive weeks.

Bebe told Billboard that this hit influenced the new EP greatly. She said the album is different and stripped-down. “I went back to my roots, like I loved No Doubt and Alanis Morissette and Lauryn Hill and wrote these more real, honest songs and there’s a lot more guitar and I think ‘Meant to Be’ helped me see that you could have success with a record that’s just honest and raw. It doesn’t have to be hidden by 10 million sounds.”

The album is named “Expectations” after the certain expectations she had when she arrived in Los Angeles to pursue music. “I thought money would bring me happiness and being famous would bring me happiness, but I find that…this wasn’t what I expected at all,” Bebe said. “It’s like the little things. It’s my family, it’s my mom, it’s my dog, it’s a cup of coffee in the morning.”

Rexha, whom Billboard calls “one of the most daring artists of 2017,” burst onto the scene in 2013 when she penned the song “The Monster,” which became a worldwide hit for Eminem and Rihanna. Bebe has collaborated with several artists since then, including David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, G-Eazy, and more, creating hits like “Hey Mamma,” “Me, Myself & I,” and “In The Name Of Love.”

Rexha released her second EP “All Your Fault: Part 1,” and the follow up, “All Your Fault: Part 2,” last year to rave reviews. We’re expecting this new album to be everything and more!
