Updated: Mar 31, 2019

After bumping his song "Nevermind" and getting a good look at this rarely talented and beautiful human, we know you're probably dying for some answers. Here are the top five things you should know about this producer, singer, and songwriter Dennis Lloyd:

1. He Moved 10,000 Away To Concentrate On His Music

Dennis Lloyd is originally from Tel Aviv, on the coast of Israel. When he was 21 he left home for Bangkok, where he focused on writing songs and producing music. This is where he wrote his hit song “Nevermind.”

2. Dennis Lloyd Is Not His Birthname

Lloyd was actually born Nir Tibor. He landed on Dennis Lloyd after searching the internet to find something catchy that would feel familiar to audiences all around the world.

3. It All Started With A Trumpet

Lloyd started his music career with the trumpet when he was 8 years old. At 13, he taught himself guitar, and then went to the Thelma Yellin Art School in Giv’atayim for jazz.

4. He. Produces. EVERYTHING.

Lloyd produces all of his own music, "from the beat stage to the master," he said. He even creates remixes of his own songs.

5. Lloyd Had A Lot Of Haters In School

Lloyd began to record songs and put them up on YouTube in highschool. He said he was covering Kesha when everyone else was interested in Miles Davis, and his classmates didn't like that. They couldn't understand Lloyd's interest in other genres. “I was insecure on a different level," he said. "Thelma Yellin is a tough school, especially when you know that you are being laughed at behind your back. Eight years ago I was in high school and people told me not to sing. If I would have listened to them I wouldn’t be here.”

We're beyond grateful Dennis Lloyd stuck with his music, despite the haters. Dennis's millions of fans worldwide could take those haters any day.
